The renovation of a two-story  traditional residential building, walls of stone, and wooden structure, we tried to keep the most of it.

The staircase and inner walls are new, as we changed the layout of the living and sleeping areas, switching floor position so living area is on the first floor, with more sun and a few steps to the backyard terrace,  while on the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a storage room and the entrance.

The base is therefore traditional, the materials are local stone and wood, with visible roof construction to gain height, but the furniture is new and modern, with smooth lines and calm tones. Also, all technical elements, lamps, accessories are contemporary.

There is also a contemporary fireplace in the living room, that substitutes the old, traditional one, wich wasn't suitable anymore, with no possibility to close it (an open fire), because renovation is always an attitude towards the environment, tradition, but also meeting the needs of a modern lifestyle.​
