The house is a timber construction that was predesigned by another architecture office. Our main goal was to create a connection between the indoor and outdoor look of the house and to form a logical outdoor space with an outdoor kitchen and sitting area.
The floor plan of the house is upside-down. With the main entrance in the first floor, that is where the main living spaces are as well. Bedrooms are on the ground floor. To gain the extra space, we added an extension (a spa and sauna) to the bottom floor with access to the outdoor terrace which made room for the outdoor kitchen and sitting area right next to the living/dining area upstairs.
