House Pomjan
type: residential
client: private
location: Koper, Slovenija
project date: 2013
completion date: 2018
floor area: 150 m2
The configuration of the site and the view the site offers were the main focuses when designing the house. The main façade opens towards the sea and is oriented in the north west direction. The back façade is closed, without windows, so privacy from the adjacent housing is assured.
Parking is enabled behind the house so you take the outdoor stairs to access the main entrance of the house on ground floor.
The ground and first floor plans are open and adjustable and follow whatever need the inhabitants might have. The design of the house is simple and clean – the bottom is light, glazed, whereas the top is more dominant and robust.
The front of the house is intended as an outdoor common space that ends with an infinity pool overlooking the city of Koper and the sea. All materials are raw, the house and other elements around the house are mostly constructed of reinforced concrete.
