The renovation focused on reorganising the existing spaces to improve functionality, while the new extension repeats the form of the existing, further expanding the capacity of the facility.

The aim was to get rid of that old socialistic feel of the space, refreshing the design without however doing a total clean up and denying the legacy of the building. Some elements from the old space were reused, the wooden ceiling construction was restored retaining the warmth of the place. The lack of airiness was improved by repainting the walls with lighter colours and redesigning the lighting.
